Andrew is an ecological designer and inventor, project manager and public speaker. As founder of Compost Central, and the inventor and co-founder of Subpod, the globally renowned in-ground compost system, Andrew has made it his mission to solve some of the world’s biggest food waste problems with intelligent, in-situ compost design.
With over 40 years experience in sustainable home, garden, and compost design, and having consulted commercially over the past decade, Andrew brings a wealth of functional design and experience to his creation of WastePlant. Andrew works closely and effectively with Architects, Builders and commercial clients.
Andrew’s dream is to see composting and soil education made a part of everyday life. Andrew resides in Byron Bay Australia, and designs and consults for projects internationally.
Arum Christina H
Assistant to the Director of WastePlant 2022
Arum is a designer and branding developer, project manager, teacher, photographer & writer based in Bali, Indonesia. She has more than 15 years of experience in design and branding communication, for the past 10 years working with the community, institutions, and education for environmental projects and awareness.
Arum is involved in several environmental projects, especially with children and youth generation in the communities throughout Indonesia. Some of her projects are urban farming, designing board games for environmental education, visual book projects with Balinese storytellers and children around Bali and building a library in the village. Her latest project is a collaboration with 9 female writers from all over Indonesia to create one book that tells stories and experiences during the pandemic.
