Palembang Pilot Project
Palembang, Sumatra 2022
PROJECT OVERVIEW
The Palembang Pilot Project features WastePlant’s Gardenship™ Tropic Module 1, a single-roof structure designed for organic waste composting in tropical environments.
The Gardenship approach brings food waste management and environmental education together. Using worms, microbes and enzyme technology, the system is designed to transform food and green waste into organic fertiliser that supports healthier soil and food growing.
As a pilot project, the focus is on demonstrating this approach in a local setting: treating organic waste as a resource and creating opportunities for people to learn about composting and the connection between waste, soil and food.
